On my totem pole I just put animals I liked. I put a deer, an owl, a polar bear, and a porquie pine.
On my clay totem pole I put a bunny, a bird, and a duck. I put these animals for no particular reason, they don't represent anybody I just liked the animals. I found molding the clay the most difficult part of the whole totem poles. It took me a long time. When it was fired the bunny's ears melted. A lot of the parts fell off also. I should have smoothed it out better and made it look more crisp. This is defiantly not my favorite turn out on a project.
My paper mache bird for the totem poles ended up some what what i wanted it to be. I don't really like the eyes but the rest turned out the best out of all the projects I've done this year. I made a bird for the totem pole because I like how the birds look like. I should have done another coat of paper mache on the wings because painting was kind of bumpy. But overall this project was my favorite of the marking period.
